Railway Group D PET Exam Dates 2023: RRB Group D PET Exam Dates are announced to be held from 12th January 2023 onwards for filling 1,03,769 vacancies. All candidates who have cleared Railway Group D Cut-Off 2022 will be now called for the Railway Group D PET Exam 2023.

RRB Group D Physical Efficiency Test

Once you qualify for the Computer-based Test, then you will be called for Physical Efficiency. Passing the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is mandatory and it will be qualifying in nature.

Twice the number of community-wise vacancies will be called for the Physical Efficiency Test. Check out the details of the physical efficiency test mentioned below:

Height and Weight:

Gender Criteria
Male Candidates Candidates should be able to lift and carry 35 kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down.
Female Candidates Should be able to lift and carry 20 kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down.

Running Distance and Time:

Gender Criteria
Male Candidates Should be able to run for a distance of 1000 meters in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one chance.
Female Candidates You should be able to run for a distance of 1000 meters in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one chance.

Note: Persons with Disabilities are exempted from appearing in PET. After qualifying for the CBT, such candidates will have to pass the medical examination prescribed for Persons with Disabilities (PWD).

RRB Group D PET General Instructions

  • PET is only a qualifying test. The results of PET will be announced on the same day, after the test, as far as possible.
  • Candidates are expected to take adequate care while undergoing PET to avoid any injury to themselves or those around them.
  • The Railway will not be responsible for any injury or damage suffered/caused during the Physical Efficiency Test.
  • The decision of the PET committee at the venue regarding the fitness/un‐fitness of candidates in the PET will be final.
  • Candidates should strictly obey the instructions issued by Railway Officials at the PET venue.
  • Candidates are advised to read the conditions specified in the employment notification carefully and appear for the PET only if they fulfill all the eligibility conditions mentioned therein. Please note that ineligible candidates detected at any stage will lead to disqualification.
  • Candidates will be allowed only one chance and requests for a second chance will not be entertained under any circumstances.
  • No request for the change in date, venue, and time for PET will be entertained.
  • Candidates are advised to appear for the exam in appropriate clothes and shoes.
  • Candidates should report to the PET venue one hour before the time indicated on the RRB Group D PET Admit Card. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the venue without producing the call letter.

After completing the Physical Efficiency Test, candidates will proceed to the Document Verification round.

Ex-Servicemen candidates who secure civil employment after applying for this CEN should give a self-declaration to the concerned employer about the details of the application against this CEN, as soon as they join. The acknowledged copy of this declaration along with NOC from the civil employer should be produced during DV. As Applicable
  • Candidates must bring the original as well as two sets of self-attested photocopies of the documents on the day of document verification.
  • The candidates are required to present the documents in either Hindi or English.
  • If the certificates are in some other language then a candidate must produce the self-attested translated version of the same.

RRB Group D Medical Test

In order to be considered for the Document Verification round, candidates must pass a Medical Fitness Test conducted by the RRB to ensure that they are physically able to perform the duties required for the chosen position.

The Visual Acuity Standard is an important factor in determining medical fitness for railway staff. The following table outlines the medical requirements for different categories based on various medical standards:
