NEET Result 2022 LIVE Updates: National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the NEET UG Result at neet.nta.nic.in. Four candidates – Tanishka, Vatsa Ashish Batra, Hrishikesh Nagbhushan and Rucha Pawashe scored 715 marks out of 720. Rajasthan’s Tanishka ranked number 1. NEET Result 2022
The NEET exam was conducted on July 17, 2022 and as many as 18.72 lakh candidates registered for the medical entrance exam. Candidates can check their NEET result using login details on the official website.

Qualifying marks dropped this year in the NEET Exam
The range of qualifying marks this year dropped as compared to last year. While the range of qualifying marks for General and EWS categories was set at 715-117 as against 720-138 in 2021, the cut-off for OBC, SC and ST categories came down to 116-93 from 137-108 in 2021
NEET Result 2022: Tie-breaking rule
Candidates who scored identical marks are accorded ranks as per the tie-breaker rule where the candidate with higher marks in biology is ranked above the rest. NEET Result 2022
In case of identical marks in biology, the same rule is applied for chemistry followed by physics. Even after this, if the scores remain identical, the elder candidate gets the higher rank.
Around 10 lakh candidates clear NEET Exam 2022
As many as 9,93,069 (56.3 per cent) of the 17,64,571 candidates who appeared for the exam qualified.

The maximum number of candidates who qualified the exam are from Uttar Pradesh (1.17 lakh), followed
by Maharashtra (1.13 lakh) and Rajasthan (82,548).

Over 18.5 lakh candidates had registered for the undergraduate medical and dental entrance examination. The examination was conducted in pen and paper mode on July 17, 2022. The answer key was released in August 18 and re-exam conducted for a few students on September 4. The result has now been released and is available.

Apart from online, NTA has also reportedly sent the NEET results to the candidates on the registered email id. The scorecard can be checked on the email id as well. Along with the NEET Result, the NEET 2022 Toppers have also been announced by NTA.

Students who have qualified NEET would now have to appear for NEET counseling which would be conducted by Medical Counseling Committee and State Counseling institutes. This year, over 18 lakh candidates appeared in the NEET exam on July 17, which is the highest number in recent years. Of them, 993069 have been declared pass.
NTA has also announced cut-off marks for medical admissions. Interestingly, NEET UG cut-offs this year is lower than last year, a trend being seen last year as well.

NEET is a national-level entrance test which is mandatory to study undergraduate medical courses in India. Since last year, the test is also being used for Nursing and Health Sciences courses.
In a major step, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has removed the upper age limit for appearing in the exam. This could be one of the reasons for such a high number of candidates appearing in the exam this year.
